Camera Woes!

Anyone use a Canon AE-1 Program before or own one? I seem to be having trouble with mine, it won't take a picture! The shutter button isn't making the connection and triggering the shutter, but once and a while it will. I think it's just worn out but I don't know. If anyone has any suggestions or any links that might help I'd be very appreciated especially since I love this camera and just bought it a new lens!
